Freezers - What freezes well and what doesn't
To many people freezers are just that big hunk of ice that sits underneath their fridges or in their garages, but what you don't know is that freezers are possibly one of the most useful things to have in your house. Not only do they allow you to keep food much longer than you would normally, but it also grands you access to ice cream and lollies which is always nice. Having said that there are thing which you can freeze and things which you can't, so in this short article we will be looking at what will freeze well and what won't.
Things which will freezer well: -
Fruit and Veg
Casserole
Meat Loaf
Waffles and Pancakes
Bakers Yeast
Rice
Most roasts including pork and beef
Chops, Cutlets and burgers (providing you wrap each of them separately)
Brown sugar (not white)
Fish (freeze them in milk for the best results)
Flour
Honey
Eggs
Butter (provided it is unsalted)
Things which won't freeze so well: -
Already thawed ice cream
Jelly
Mayo
Salad cream/ salad dressing
Potatoes
Anything filled with cream
Custard
Meringue
Things which will freezer well: -
